General Assembly 2020 (online due to Corona)

Our General Assembly will take on Saturday the 25.07.2020 at 09:30 UTC+2 (Berlin)/ 10:30 UTC+3 (Istanbul). The assembly will take place as a video conference this year, due to the special situation of the Corona Pandemic.

Please let us know about your participation: https://forms.gle/WLHS2EmMADgQReTq8

How will the online General Assembly take place?

We will use “Zoom” for the video conference. For the link and password, please write us an E-mail (board@scc-international.com).

If you do not have the necessary means to join (stable internet connection, webcam, microphone, quiet surroundings), please contact us.

In order to have an efficient and enjoyable assembly, we will introduce some rules for the discussions and the use of Zoom. We will also provide you with a time table for the assembly. We will include breaks and will keep it as short as possible. To save some time in the video conference, we will send you some information in advance that we ask you to read before (like the reports of this year and the presentation of the candidates for the elections).

What is the General Assembly again?

The General Assembly is the yearly meeting of the members of SCC. It constitutes the highest decision-making body of the association. The General Assembly elects the new board, it can approve the actions of the old board, amend the charter and decide on other matters of SCC (for example the amount of the membership fee).

Elections

A new board will be elected during the General Assembly. Every one of you has the possibility to candidate for these positions. You received a second email, which entails the descriptions of all positions, an explanation of the process and the possibilities to get involved. Please let us know in advance, if you are candidating, via the Google Form above.

Your ideas

We can discuss and vote on your ideas! If you have a proposal for something that SCC should do (example: “SCC should change its name to Student Challenging Corona”) you can make an application to the General Assembly. Your proposal will then be discussed during the meeting. You can approach us with proposals until one week before the Assembly.
